Ushaka Sea World now boasts a brand new show! 5 Star Durban was invited to review and tell all about the new show, which was absolutely delightful!
Young and old were squealing with delight even before the acts started, as the cameras picked up funny moments via the big screen, and made would be volunteers dance for their chance to meet the dolphins. One after the other the wonderfully intelligent Gambit (the largest bottlenose dolphin in any oceanarium in the world!), Frodo, Affrika, Tombi, Khanya, Zulu, Kelpie, Jula, Khwezi, Ingelosi and Khetiwe put forward a high energy show for our amusement. Also, with the aid of the new “eco-heroes Flotsam and Jetsam” (Rory Booth and Brendan Mendes) who are displayed via the big screen, the issue of environmental awareness is clearly raised, with demonstrations and acts dedicated to “throwing away your litter, and recycling.”
This show was highly interactive, and really impressed us all, we left with smiles on our faces, and will definitely return!
The Dolphin trainers at Ushaka Sea World are truly world class, using their commendable skills, coupled with patience and positive reinforcement, they have managed to present a wonderful show for all.
Shows are at 11:30 and 15:00 daily, so it would suit any schedule, and is definitely a must!
Costs to enter are R199 for a combo ticket which provides you with entrance into Wet n Wild and Sea World (aquarium, dolphin show, and seal show, also the chance to see the penguins)
